Game Description & Reviews:
Rygar is an average NES side-scroller. You play as Rygar, who my Nintendo Player's Guide calls a "Warrior Hero." He does not live up to that name. He sort of has a unique weapon, a shield with spikes, but that's all he's got going for him. The guide also says become familiar with the different powers you have. These are shown as "running, jumping, and climbing." What great powers, right? It does have some cool features with the start menu, but they are so hard to figure out that they aren't implemented correctly unless you have a guide or something. The music is okay, nothing special. The graphics are the same. The game is very short and the story is kind of weird. Overall the game passes. Like these last few sentences. Short and get the job done. That's about all though. The major problem I have with this game, however, is the top down areas. These areas are such a headache that it makes my rating go down a full number. Just try it to find out what I mean.
