Game Description & Reviews:
1942 is another okay game. The music is just a series of beeps, and then just goes beep...beep....beep. ANYWAY, the first level just kinda stinks. The only enemies are: regular planes that try to shoot you; small green planes that don't shoot but just goes in a weird pattern; and large green planes that take multiple shots to take down. Like I said its an ok game to me.
1942 is a fun early vertical scrolling shooter from Capcom. As the name might suggest, it takes place in a World War II style setting. The pacing of the action is moderate, never too fast. You can upgrade weapons, and there are special planes that can be destroyed for extra points. The enemies are repetitive, but this is not exactly unexpected for a game that first appeared in 1984.
