Game Description & Reviews:
Despite being a gameboy game, Link's Awakening stands out as one of the strongest games in the series with its classic gameplay and quirky, somewhat disquieting world. More of the same goodness we came to expect from A Link to the Past.
One of the best games made for the Gameboy, and now we can play it in color!
The gameplay reminds me very much of A Link to the Past, using many of the same items and layouts and such. Granted it's not the best Zelda game, considering it's on the Gameboy, but for a gameboy game, it's awesome! And a typical Zelda- what more can you want?
The storyline wasn't the greatest, either. To be honest, I thought it was quite strange and had no real signifigence. But oh well, Zelda isn't really known for it's storylines anyway, so at least the gameplay made up for the lacking story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, but then again I'm a die-hard Zelda fan. If you're looking for a good RPG or just simply love Zelda games, I'm sure you'll enjoy it too!
Even though this is the worst Legend of Zelda game ever its still pretty good. the puzzles are classic Zelda, the enemies are well placed, and the bosses/mini-bosses are fun. A lot of stuff was taken from Mario games but it was fun to kill goombas with a boomerang and grab a Yoshi doll from the claw game. even with all its problems this is Ok for being the first Zelda game on a handheld.
